Marking the 3rd anniversary of Shenzhen and Barcelona becoming sister cities, as well as the first anniversary of the launch of direct flights between Shenzhen and Barcelona, the 2024 Shenzhen-Spain Economic, Trade and Cultural Cooperation Exchange Day was held in Shenzhen on July 9. When talking about exchanges and cooperation with Shenzhen, Jaume Collboni, Mayor of Barcelona, Spain, stated that Shenzhen’s transformation over just 40 years is astounding. He expressed hopes to carry out exchanges and cooperation with Shenzhen in sectors including smart cities, communications technology, commercial displays and football.
On July 10, Mayor Jaume Collboni and his entourage attended the 2024 China Commercial Display & Barcelona Municipal Government Special Exchange Conference.
At the event, the Shenzhen Commercial Display Industry Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Barcelona side. Both parties will strengthen cooperation in the commercial display sector and establish a regular cooperation channel for Chinese audio-visual products to go global.
It is reported that in late January this year, ISE 2024 (Integrated Systems Europe), the flagship exhibition for audio-visual and system integration solutions, was held in Barcelona. Over 1,000 enterprises worldwide took part in the show. Among more than 340 Chinese exhibitors, 79 were from Shenzhen.
