Switzerland Stage Project – CLT X-Poster Pro Powers Immersive Musical Production

Live performances place unique demands on visual technology. In theatrical and musical productions, stage designers look for ways to expand the visual environment without crowding the stage or interfering with the performers.

For a musical production in Switzerland, CLT’s X-Poster Pro LED Poster Display was used as part of a creative stage design. Suspended above the performance area, the displays provided an additional visual dimension that worked in harmony with the music, lighting and stage action.

Designing for a Live Musical Stage

A musical stage is a dynamic environment where performers, instruments and equipment share the same physical space. In this production, the stage needed to accommodate an orchestra alongside the performers, leaving limited floor space for visual structures. Wall-mounted screens or standard floor-standing displays would have restricted the movement of performers and reduced the usable area.

The stage lighting also varied significantly throughout the production, ranging from soft atmospheric tones to intense performance lighting. The screens therefore needed to maintain clear images, stable color performance and strong visual consistency throughout the show.

Built for Flexible Stage Installation

CLT’s X-Poster Pro provided the flexibility required for this creative application. With an ultra-thin 38 mm profile and support for hanging installation, the LED poster displays could be suspended above the stage without adding unnecessary visual or structural weight to the performance environment.

Instead of positioning all visual content behind the performers, the suspended screens introduced vertical layers into the space. Dynamic visuals could surround and interact with the physical performance, adding depth without blocking the stage or reducing usable floor space.

Clear Visuals Under Changing Lighting

X-Poster Pro delivers high-definition image performance with color saturation above 110% and low-brightness, high-gray display capability. These features help maintain detailed images and smooth color transitions under changing stage conditions.

As lighting and content changed throughout the performance, the displays continued to deliver expressive visuals that supported the atmosphere of the production. The system also supports synchronous and asynchronous playback modes, providing flexibility for different content sources and event requirements.
