On October 15, Phase 1 of the 136th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) kicked off in Guangzhou. Centered on the theme of “Serving High-Quality Development and Advancing High-Level Opening-up”, the fair was held in three phases. It covered a total exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters with 74,000 booths across 55 exhibition zones and 171 sub-zones. As of October 14, 147,000 overseas buyers from 209 countries and regions had pre-registered for this session. A total of 241 companies from the Global Retail 250 and leading multinational corporations attended in groups, representing an increase of 8.1% compared with the same period of the previous fair.
